I have been coveting a fancy set of chinks from Clay and Shelley for years, and I was NOT disappointed! The quality, detail and style they put in to everything is top notch. We have holsters, phone cases, saddles bags and numerous other pieces and we'll be back for more!

I love the saddle, the people I ride with always comment on it, makes me feel almost fancy. At some point in the future I will order another saddle with a spare britchen. Phenomenal craftsmanship Sir! Definitely created a life long customer out of me and I recommend you to everyone.

For anyone looking for a quality saddle with a tree shaped to fit a mules back, I would highly recommend C&S Saddlery. My wife and I both got saddles from C&S Saddlery. We spend a good deal of time riding our mules on pack trips and I hunt a fair bit with my packstring in the fall. I've rode several other "mule" saddles and horse saddles, and far as comfort goes, the two we got from C&S are my favorite. The free moving stirrups that come pre-twisted are very comfortable from the first time you sit in the saddle. The quality of the materials used, the craftsmanship, and attention to detail is as good or better than any saddles I have seen. Clay and Shelley are great people and know how to produce a very high-quality saddle at a very fair and affordable price, compared to other options out there. Don't waste your time with the other "mule" saddles on the market. I have, and they are not near the quality of these saddles, nor as comfortable. Save yourself time and money and get a saddle from C&S Saddlery. I am very pleased with the two saddles we got.

From the initial contact and the visit to their shop, we were treated with total and complete professionalism. Although we had planned on having a saddle custom made, we were fortunate enough to find the ultimate saddle for our mule, Goldie, that they had on consignment—one that they had built that was lightly used. This saddle met all of our requirements and then some. The construction and materials on this saddle are top quality. Clay and Shelley offered to come to our home the day following our visit to their shop and ensure that the saddle tree used in the saddle fit our mule—it fit perfectly! We ended up purchasing a new set of britchen from them that they had in stock. Additionally, Clay made us a breast color to match the saddle before they came to our place—in less than 24 hours. The crowning glory was the concho that they included on the saddle just for me (Linda) Thanks Clay and Shelley for outstanding customer service and a very high-quality saddle.
